About DrugNote

A medication reference for people, not pharmacies.

DrugNote pairs FDA label data with structured patient-reported experiences so the person who just got switched to a biosimilar can find answers tonight — not after a 20-minute hold with their insurer.

What we are

DrugNote is an independent, ad-free reference site. We index FDA drug labels, FAERS adverse-event reports, clinical study references, and public patient discussions, then surface them side by side. Every comparison page combines clinical data with real-world experience because both matter when a treatment actually changes.

Who we are for

People who’ve been told to switch — often from a brand-name biologic to a biosimilar — and want to know what others felt before their next injection. Caregivers researching options for a family member. Patients comparing first-line treatments before a clinic appointment. We do not sell anything, do not recommend specific drugs, and do not target prescribers.

What we do not do

  • We do not give medical advice.
  • We do not accept paid placement from manufacturers.
  • We do not de-anonymise the people whose public posts we index.
  • We do not modify FDA label content — we link to the source.

Provenance

Drug data is sourced from openFDA and DailyMed. Patient discussions are sourced from public Reddit threads under the platform’s data API and carry attribution to the subreddit. Where structured patient reviews are submitted directly through DrugNote, they are moderated for spam and identifiable information before publication.

See our methodology for how we aggregate this data and our sources page for the full provenance trail.

Editorial policy

DrugNote does not currently have a clinician on staff. Until we add a medical reviewer, every page carries a disclaimer that the content is informational only, and we do not publish dosing recommendations, drug-interaction warnings, or contraindication summaries beyond what the FDA label itself states. If you are a clinical pharmacist or physician willing to review content, please get in touch.
