I got given the option to trial erenumab today while going for my 12 weekly Botox appointment. I had to choose between the two and thought it seemed worth a shot. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s tried it yet, especially anyone that’s also tried Botox. How was your experience? Did it help (espec

Both Eptinezumab and Erenumab belong to the CGRP Inhibitor (Migraine) class. While they share a similar mechanism of action, differences in pharmacokinetics, dosing, and side effect profiles may make one more suitable than the other for individual patients. Eptinezumab is administered via Oral, whereas Erenumab uses Subcutaneous. Route of administration can affect onset of action and patient adherence.
Both medications are approved for Migraine Prevention. When two drugs treat the same condition, the choice between them often depends on the patient's medical history, other medications, tolerability, and prescriber preference.
Erenumab carries 3 FDA warnings. Patients should discuss all warnings and contraindications with their healthcare provider before starting or switching medications..
