My surgeon won't take my ovaries out unless I medically suppress them to "experience what it's like when they're gone" beforehand. It's a once-a-month implant thing that I've had for just over a week and have I been ordered to have for at least three months. Drug is goserelin, brand name Zoladex.
*Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. I just read a lot. I am so glad I did this! I'd h
Hi all - I just wanted to share my experience so far on Zoladex. I've heard so much negative stuff on here about this sort of treatment (Lupron and the like); so much that I nearly didn't go ahead with it. I'd like to offer my perspective so far as candidly and objectively as possible for those who
I finally have a plan! It'll be 8 sessions total of chemo over 16 weeks, dose dense. First 4 weeks will be DOXOrubicin and cyclophosphamide injection/tablets Last 4 weeks will be PACLitaxel. Injection to shut down ovaries: goserelin For nausea: Zofran/Ondansetron Olanzepine, and Emend/Aprepitant.
