12.1 Mechanism of Action The growth of some cancers of the breast is stimulated or maintained by estrogens. Treatment of breast cancer thought to be hormonally responsive (i.e., estrogen and/or progesterone receptor positive or receptor unknown) has included a variety of efforts to decrease estrogen levels (ovariectomy, adrenalectomy, hypophysectomy) or inhibit estrogen effects (antiestrogens and progestational agents). These interventions lead to decreased tumor mass or delayed progression of tumor growth in some women. I'm by no means a medical professional but I did a lot of online research, Reddit thread reading, and got some great tips from my clinic. I recently went to a pcos information day. It was a really interesting experience to see so many different woman of all sorts whom all had pcos. There were talks with gynecologists and professors. Today, I am throwing in the towel. I'm done. My period was one day late. After 14 months of trying, and my first month on Letrozole, I thought "This is it!". My body amazes me every month with her variety of PMS symptoms that I mistake for pregnancy, but Aunt Flow never lies to me. I dutifully pee o
I have a 17-month-old daughter, and I’m currently pregnant with another girl due at the end of March. Without question the last year and a half has been the hardest period of my life and almost none of it was due to newborn life or typical first-time parent struggles. To rewind a bit, about two year
Hi, I'm a UK tech, have been for about 7 months now so still relatively new to it. We have a handful of patients on letrozole but each one wants a different brand and won't have any other. It can't be that they just don't like other brands e.g. Sandoz Amlodipine over Almus, since they all share the
An MD said it is ok to dispense both. What are your thoughts? Do you feel comfortable doing so?
